Elena Dayamba
Elena Dayamba is a mother of two who knows firsthand how essential community is to navigating parenthood. After giving birth, joining local moms groups transformed her experience, offering vital friendships, shared wisdom, and a comforting sense that she was not alone.
Co-founding Chicago Playborhood grew directly from that gratitude. Elena wanted to create a welcoming neighborhood space where children can freely imagine and play, while parents find a supportive, grounding environment to breathe, connect, and share the journey together daily.
Francis Dayamba
Francis Dayamba is a dedicated father inspired by the everyday rhythms of city family life. From cheering at youth sports to post-daycare park dates, he built a strong personal support system through simple, shared neighborhood moments with other local families.
Co-founding Chicago Playborhood was a natural extension of his desire to help parents connect deeply. Francis focuses on offering an unpretentious, welcoming hub where adults can catch their breath, find genuine camaraderie, and watch their children thrive and play together.
